The Dunedin Model Train Show is being held on 13th and 14th May 2017 for a day’s entertainment where there will be a number of layouts on display filling the venue.

Entry fees are:

$15 for a Family Ticket for 2 adults and up to 3 children under 14 years.
$8 for an Adult
$1 for a child under 14 years of age unless they are so small we can’t see them over the entry table!

No EFTPOS, Cash only.

There will be a bigger Lego display this year, and two layouts that children of all ages can play/operate.

The show also has a number of traders with model railway items for sale that you have the opportunity to purchase, along with raffle tickets.

This will be our annual “Bender’s Shout” where Captain Ben Smith shouts the junior rugby players in the region to the rugby, always a great game where the kids make more noise in the Zoo than the regular inhabitants!

We are playing our first South African-based team at home for 2017 and it is always a tough battle on the field so be sure to get to Forsyth Barr Stadium and support your team against the Stormers before they embark on their tour to South Africa and Perth!

Originally Gardiner debuted in Australia when he was the support act for American country singer Charley Pride. People rushed to buy his CD commenting how much he sounded like John Denver. Even Pride was impressed: “Bevan is amazing. He sounds just like John Denver,” the country singer said at the time.
